Title: Case Manager: Ellis County Drug Court
Pay Range: $18.00/hour
FLSA: Non-Exempt/ Part time (28 hours per week)
Grant funded through 10/1/2022
Summary: Ellis County Drug Court is seeking a part-time case manager to assist the court with intensive case management services for participants. This is a grant funded position that will be available for at least two years. Following the completion of the grant cycle, the grant will be submitted for renewal.
Job Description:
· The case manager will help drug court participants to access available community resources and will assist with developing job skills, resume` writing, and assistance with basic life skills as needed.
· In home visits with participants will be required, along with both telework and office work.
· The case manager will also assist the drug court coordinator with preparing drug court progress reports, dockets and agendas for bi-weekly drug court sessions and will be required to attend drug court staffing meetings and court hearings.
· The case manager will communicate with the participants’ Intensive Supervision Officers at Northwest Kansas Community Corrections as well as the Ellis County Drug Court Team.
· The qualified applicant will work with the drug court team to develop case plans for each participant and ensure that each participant is meeting the requirements of drug court such as treatment, support meetings and pro-social activities.
Essential functions:
· Critical thinking.
· Attending meetings as required.
· Ability to understand and carry out oral and written direction.
· Qualified candidate will provide a range of supportive services such as service planning, housing and rental assistance, links to health, mental health, substance use disorder services and legal services, benefits establishment, transportation, basic needs, crisis management and life skills. Candidate will maintain records of activities.
Minimum qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field or two years’ experience working in the social services field.
· Ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds, and ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally.
· Computer literate, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel required.
· Valid driver’s license required.
