Mortgage/Cosumer Loan Officer

Hours: Generally 8:00-5:00 daily, but there will be some variation

Locations: Hays Bank

Reports to: Senior Vice President-Loans

 

Help individuals obtain loans including but not limited to mortgages, home equity lines of credit, personal, and auto loans. Interview and collect information from the customer to evaluate and decide on their soundness as a borrower. Gather information on borrower’s financial condition, income stream and collateral being offered, to ensure proposed loan is inside Bank risk guidelines.  If request falls outside risk guidelines, consult with Senior Lender to find possible ways to meet the customer need while limiting risk to the Bank.  

 

·       Deliver exceptional customer service

·       Meet with loan customers and prospects as requested

·       Develop strong relationships with customers, realtors and other community influencers

·       Review loan documents for accuracy and completeness, including-title/mortgage policy, promissory note, mortgage, security agreement, and various perfection instruments for consumer loans.

·       Release Liens when appropriate

·       Manage document and information flow with assistance of loan administrators to meet customer needs in a timely fashion
