KVC Hospitals in Hays, KS, offers psychiatric residential treatment services for children and adolescents in a modern, safe, secure and child-friendly environment. We are seeking a Therapist to join our team. Newly licensed individuals will be considered.
Our therapists are responsible for case management for the children in care; completing intake evaluations and conducting individual and group therapy. They collaborate with hospital liaisons, mental health centers and the community to collectively address individual needs of the clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Completes initial and master treatment plans; completes two week and thirty day treatment reviews; completes discharge summaries
- Advocacy with schools and other community avenues
- Proficient in crisis management
Salary starts at $46,000 per year depending on experience.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Master’s Degree in social work, family therapy or counseling from an accredited institution.
Licensure/Certification: LMSW, LMFT, LCMFT, LPC, LCPC, LSCSW or another approved license with the Kansas BSRB to practice in the capacity of this position. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
Experience: Minimum of one year supervised experience in providing individual, family and group therapy to children and/or adolescents in a hospital setting.
