CBS Recovery Specialist - Woodhaven Location Hays

 

High Plains Mental Health Center currently has a full time position opening at our Woodhaven location in Hays for a CBS Recovery Specialist.  This position is funded by a federal grant to improve availability of case management services for school-aged youth. The staff hired for this position will be primarily working with children and families, while also coordinating care with school staff. 
 
The Recovery Specialist’s work focuses primarily on providing patients and their families with medically necessary services designed to reduce their symptoms and improve functioning in home, school/work, and community settings. Qualifications for this position include at least (1) a BA/BS degree or be equivalently qualified by work experience or a combination of work experience in the human services field and education with one year of experience substituting for one year of education; and (2) possess demonstrated interpersonal skills, ability to work with persons with severe and persistent mental illness and/or severe emotional disturbance, and the ability to react effectively in a wide variety of human service situations.  Successful candidate must also be able to provide after hours on call services.
