Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a valued member of our pharmacy staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and service within our hospital setting.

Responsibilities

- Assist pharmacists with the preparation of medications as needed.
- Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to proper infection control practices throughout the workday.
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering education on medication administration.
- Administer medications as directed by the healthcare team, utilizing medical terminology to accurately identify medications.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks to meet the demands of critical care situations.
- Support the pharmacy team in the management of inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely medication dispensing.

Qualifications

- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or willingness to obtain certification within a reasonable timeframe.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a retail setting preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and stressful environment.
- Excellent patient service skills and strong communication abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
