Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Server to join our close-knit restaurant family. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a knack for making every guest feel at home. As a Server in our "mom & pop" establishment, you will play a vital role in providing personalized service, building relationships with our community, and ensuring the dining room remains a welcoming and organized environment.

Duties
  • Greet and seat guests with a warm, welcoming demeanor, often recognizing and attending to our regular customers.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them efficiently into the POS system.
  • Provide detailed menu knowledge, including daily specials, ingredients, and personal recommendations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of meals while monitoring guest needs throughout their dining experience.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized dining area by busing tables, resetting stations, and keeping the floor tidy.
  • Perform essential "side work" tasks such as brewing coffee, rolling silverware, and restocking condiments.
  • Process guest payments accurately, handling cash and credit transactions with care and integrity.
  • Collaborate closely with the kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy and high-quality food presentation.

Experience
  • Previous experience as a Server or in a customer-facing role within the food service industry is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of guests.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Experience using POS systems or a willingness to learn new technology quickly.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak meal rushes.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic, with the flexibility to help out in various roles as needed in a small team setting.
