Our Systems Engineer designs, installs, troubleshoots and maintains IT infrastructure for internal and external customers, including network connectivity and utilization, Windows server administration, virtualization, performance tuning, backup, and restoration. The right candidate will be one who enjoys getting to know their customers, understanding their business and providing solutions for new, or upgrading existing, equipment or software. Other tasks include identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems, maintaining documentation of client networks and systems, and providing service support for trouble tickets.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities:
- Knowledge of wired and wireless networking, PC and server virtualization, software, virus protection, and backup systems.
- Ability to provide detailed documentation on system requirements, configurations, etc.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and act independently to resolve problems.
- Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree in Information Technology, or the equivalent, plus four years of experience, or the equivalent, installing complex technology projects.
- Requires two Admin level certifications or one Professional level certification. Microsoft MCSE, SonicWALL CSSA and/or IBM/AS400 certification beneficial.
- Must possess a Kansas Driver's license.
- This position requires completion of a background check.
