The Human Resource Program Specialist (Recruitment) position works with university staff and faculty to advertise and recruit employees to FHSU. This position is responsible for advertising, managing, communicating, training, and assisting in recruiting activities across campus. Coordinates with HR and other leaders to deliver effective and efficient recruiting processes.
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field OR 3-5 years of qualified experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday experience.
- Experience working in Higher Education.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
- Previous experience in Human Resources or a related area.
- Knowledge and understanding of full-cycle employee recruitment.
Wage: $19.06/ hour

Responsibilities:
Direct Recruitment
- Create all faculty and staff job requisitions.
- Process all job advertisements for internal and external websites.
- Serve as the primary contact for Search Committee Chairs, Department Chairs, or Deans regarding active or upcoming recruitments.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and search committee chairs to create and edit position descriptions, job templates and job postings.
- Point of contact for all potential and current applicants, regarding application and recruitment processes.
- Track applicant progress to ensure recruitment processes move smoothly.
- Process and make all job offers (hourly and salary), providing additional information about FHSU’s benefit package.
- Work closely with hiring managers and/or HR staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Background Check Liaison – submit and process all FHSU Background Checks including full-time faculty/staff, GA/GTA positions and all other applicable positions.
Indirect Recruitment
- Evaluate compensation structure to ensure offers align with the most recent compensation study.
- Work with Technology Services to develop, facilitate, and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods/strategies based on the needs of the University.
- Assist General Counsel and FHSU Attorneys on the PERM process for current employees.
- Affirmative Action Plan – Gather all necessary data for Berkshire to prepare the AAP report and serve as the primary point of contact for any questions regarding the Affirmative Action Plan.
- Work with the Human Resource Director to ensure all Job Profile classifications are assigned the correct EEOC, IPEDS, and SOC.
- Process State of Kansas Market Survey Report and Department of Labor Turnover Report.
Other
- When appropriate attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
- Provide office coverage and assist with lobby traffic and phone calls when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
