Position: Computer Repair & Technology Specialist (Sales + Support)
General Summary
The Computer Repair & Technology Specialist serves clients by delivering outstanding customer service while diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technology issues. This role requires a balance of technical aptitude and sales-minded thinking, with the ability to clearly communicate solutions and recommendations to non-technical clients. Candidates should be comfortable working on computers, tablets, and mobile phones—or have a strong willingness to learn. Foundational technical skills are required; advanced skills will be trained for the right candidate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
- Deliver exceptional in-store, phone, and remote customer support
- Assist clients with hardware, software, service plans, and technology solutions
- Educate clients on repair options, upgrades, replacements, and ongoing support services
- Provide clear quotes for repairs or replacements and follow up with clients for approval
- Notify clients when repairs or services are completed
- Actively participate in sales activities, including add-on services and support plans
Service & Technical Support
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of both the Sales and Service departments
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to:
- Desktop and laptop computers
- Tablets and mobile phones
- Hardware, software, and basic networking
- Provide software support for Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS, iOS, and commonly used applications
- Troubleshoot problems using network and remote connectivity tools
- Implement and follow service policies and procedures
- Ensure all service tickets are completed accurately, thoroughly, and efficiently
- Maintain detailed documentation, notes, and records for each job
Qualifications and Experience
Technical (Required or Willing to Learn)
- Minimum of 1 year of technical support experience or equivalent education/training
- Foundational knowledge of:
- Windows 10 and 11
- Apple macOS and iOS
- Comfort working with computer hardware; willingness to learn tablets and mobile phone repair
- Ability to learn new tools, systems, and repair processes quickly

- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build trust and rapport
- Ability to listen carefully and explain technical solutions in plain language
- Sales-oriented attitude with comfort recommending solutions and services
