Thomas More Prep-Marian High School (2A co-ed Catholic school, enrollment 150) is seeking a full-time Science teacher to inspire students to become proficient in reading, writing, analyzing, and experimentation as well as other skills necessary for success in college and career.
A successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor`s degree in Science Education, Biology or related science field and be certified (or able to obtain certification) in Kansas. A Master`s degree is preferred and will command a higher salary, as will teaching experience.
Successful candidates will have a strong ability to teach skills and content, while also organizing projects and experiences that are both cross curricular and college/career preparatory. Teachers at TMP-Marian are expected to develop caring relationships with students that allow them to demand greatness. TMP-Marian believes giving students multiple pathways to success will help all levels of students persevere in high school and in the future.
Experience and/or interest in a wide variety of technological tools is a plus. TMP-Marian uses Google Classroom with students having access to Chromebooks on a 1:1 ratio. Students will learn 21st Century communication skills in a variety of platforms.
