KVC Hospitals in Hays, KS, offers psychiatric residential treatment services for children and adolescents in a modern, safe, secure and child-friendly environment. We are seeking a PRN/On Call Therapist to join our team. Newly licensed individuals will be considered.
Our therapists are responsible for case management for the children in care; completing intake evaluations and conducting individual and group therapy. They collaborate with hospital liaisons, mental health centers and the community to collectively address individual needs of the clients.
Base pay will start at $30 an hour, depending on education and experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Completes initial and master treatment plans; completes two week and thirty day treatment reviews; completes discharge summaries
- Advocacy with schools and other community avenues
- Proficient in crisis management
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Master’s Degree in social work, family therapy, counseling, or related field from an accredited institution.
Licensure/Certification: LMSW, LMFT, LCMFT, LPC, LCPC, LSCSW or another approved license with the Kansas BSRB to practice in the capacity of this position. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
Experience: Minimum of one year supervised experience in providing individual, family and group therapy to children and/or adolescents in a hospital setting.
