JOB SUMMARIES/QUALIFICATIONS:
Kid-Link Coordinator: Develop, link, coordinate, provide and monitor services, supports and resources with respect to the needs of the children/Family (preferences, choices and values), through the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) process. Serve as an advocate for and on behalf of the child's and parent's rights and benefits. Perform Family Service Coordination duties according to the Procedure manual for Part C. Provide support to families and staff of the Kid-Link program and service delivery model and serve as the team coordinator for the program functions. Education - BA/BS in a human services field, preferably Psychology, Social Work, or Special Education required. Master's Degree in a human services field preferred. Experience - A minimum of six months experience working with individuals, preferably preschool children, with developmental disabilities is required.
Early Childhood Special Educator: Assist in the planning, organizing and implementation of the early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental disabilities within the counties served by Kid-Link. Actively supervise and provide training and information to the Early Intervention Paraprofessional(s) using evidence based practices for quality services. Assess, evaluate and provide assistance in the development of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) in meeting goals that are driven by the family outcomes desired. Education - Bachelors degree in Education with an endorsement of Early Childhood Handicapped or Early Childhood Unified, required. Certification as a Early Childhood Special Education Teacher required. Experience - One year experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, preferably in an educational system, preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
Lead Personal Assistant: Teach independent living skills to individuals served through consistent implementation of teaching plans and behavior programs. Provide feedback to Personal Assistants for ongoing staff development and quality services. Education - High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience - One year of human services experience required.
Personal Assistant: Teach skills and provide support to individuals served in their home and in the community. Shifts include all days of the week, morning, day, evening, or overnight hours. Prior personal or job related exposure to people with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Paraprofessional: Assist individuals served in the development of personal, social, and communication skills. This is accomplished through group or individualized instruction conducted in the community or the developmental center. Prior personal or job related exposure to people with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Maintenance Technician: Perform general maintenance of DSNWK properties to ensure an attractive and safe environment for staff and persons served. Five years experience with general maintenance preferred.
Vehicle Operator: Provide safe and timely transportation of passengers to their requested destinations. Education - High School diploma, equivalent preferred. Experience - Public transportation experience preferred.
