 The Academic Program Specialist plays a key role in supporting the operations of FHSU’s international partnerships and advancing digital systems that sustain global enrollment and collaboration. This role supports academic and administrative coordination for cross-border partnerships while also maintaining the digital tools, workflows, and data processes that connect students, faculty, staff, and partner institutions. The position provides hands-on experience in the use of information systems, data analytics, and workflow automation in a global higher-education setting. By combining strong operational awareness with technology and data fluency, this position ensures GAISS processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with the university’s global mission. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, technical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, global environment. 

Minimum Qualifications: 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with three years of experience in an office or administrative position.
  • Experience maintaining or supporting data systems, technology tools, or digital workflows. 
  • Effective written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline or four years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience in higher education or international operations. 
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), and project management systems. 
  • Knowledge of data visualization or reporting tools. 

Responsibilities:
Partnership Operations and International Enrollment
(external-facing, coordination, and data flow) 
  • Coordinate with international colleagues and partnership stakeholders across multiple time zones to ensure effective communication and smooth academic and administrative operations. 
  • Support all aspects of partnership enrollment management and data exchange between FHSU and partner universities. 
  • Contribute to technology-based solutions that enhance communication, coordination, and data visibility. 
  • Support the collection, organization, and reporting of data related to international enrollment and partnership operations. 
  • Maintain data consistency, accuracy, and accessibility to inform planning and decision-making. 
  • Support logistical coordination for faculty exchanges and other partnership initiatives. 
  • Maintain clear documentation and operating procedures for partnership and system workflows. 
Technology Systems and Workflow Support
(internal-facing, systems, and process optimization) 
  • Maintain CRM, Smartsheet, Workday, and other platforms used across GAISS. 
  • Provide guidance and training to GAISS team on the use of digital tools and systems. 
  • Support troubleshooting, documentation, and the integrity of data flows across systems. 
  • Collaborate with IT, campus partners, and system leads to align and enhance digital processes. 
  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements and automation opportunities. 
  • Provide logistical and technical support for events, communications, and operational needs. 
  • Assist with batch data loads, system integrations, and the maintenance of dashboards and reports.

Salary: $16.23 / hour
