We are seeking a reliable and motivated Grain Elevator Operator to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our grain elevator facility.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Grain Shipments: Receive and ship grain by truck and rail, ensuring accurate weighing and documentation.
- Maintain Grain Quality: Monitor stored grain condition, including temperature and moisture levels, to prevent spoilage and ensure quality.
- Operate and Maintain Equipment: Operate grain handling equipment (conveyors, elevators, etc.) and perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Ensure Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Facility Upkeep: Perform general housekeeping and monitor the condition of the facility, reporting any issues to management.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift 50-60 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Safety Awareness: Must be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment and able to comprehend and follow written and verbal safety instructions.
- Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong communication and critical thinking skills are essential for effective teamwork and operational efficiency.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive Salary: $35,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
