Responsible for creating a warm, helpful atmosphere in greeting and directing students and the public.  This position requires an individual who can coordinate the delivery of Registrar’s Office student services within the broad context of the entire university community.

Minimum Qualifications:  This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with one year of experience in office, administrative, or academic/student support services. Appropriate college coursework training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in a university setting
  • Experience in evaluating high school transcripts for coursework and grade point average

Appointment Date: The start date will be determined after acceptance of an offer and successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, process or refer incoming service requests (e.g. walk-in traffic, phone, email)
  • Process incoming and outgoing transcript request 
  • Update student demographic and academic data
  • Process enrollment verification requests and deferment requests
  • Receive initial, ongoing training and adhere to university, state and federal privacy rules
  • Twice daily ensure incoming mail is received and outgoing mail is delivered to the university post office and incoming Registrar’s Office mail is processed
  • Coordinate and manage the university’s participation in the National Student Clearinghouse
  • Assist with Application for Admission processing during peak times
  • Supervise student personnel assigned to the front desk and adjacent admissions area
  • Conduct ongoing office training for student employees and permanent employees within the office and across campus
  • Other duties as assigned by the Registrar
