The Dishwasher is a vital member of our small kitchen team, responsible for maintaining clean, sanitized, and well-organized dishware, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our restaurant, ensuring the cooks and servers always have the tools they need.
Key Responsibilities
Dishwashing:
- Scrape, rinse, and load soiled dishes, silverware, glassware, pots, and pans into the commercial dish machine.
- Operate the dish machine efficiently and safely, following all proper temperature and chemical concentration guidelines.
- Hand-wash oversized or delicate items as needed.
- Unload clean items and immediately store them in the correct designated areas, ensuring they are polished and free of spots.
Kitchen Cleanliness & Organization:
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and back-of-house (BOH) throughout the shift.
- Regularly empty and clean trash, recycling, and linen receptacles.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors, including walk-in refrigerators/freezers, and clean floor drains.
- Wipe down counters, walls, and work surfaces to maintain sanitation standards.
Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
