First Care Clinic is looking for a Full-Time RN or LPN to serve as the Nursing Team Lead!
This position will serve as a dual role: providing leadership for medical department staff and providing medical care for patients within the scope of practice. Candidates should possess good problem solving and independent thinking skills.
First Care Clinic is a very busy clinic offering medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmaceutical services. Therefore, applicants must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Strong computer skills are also needed to manage daily duties. Applicants need to have excellent patient relation skills.
Qualifications:
1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
2. Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Licensure in the State of Kansas is required.
3. Must have and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
4. Prior clinic experience is preferred, but not required.
5. Prior management experience is preferred, but not required.
Primary duties include:
-Participate in direct patient care.
-Coordinate nursing schedule to ensure nurse coverage for all hours of clinic operation.
-Provide direct leadership and effectively manage the day to day personnel functions of the nursing staff.
-Assist in ensuring all nursing staff is receiving the appropriate training.
-Attend monthly department meetings.
-Monitor clinic flow and report to Medical Director regularly.
-Assist with the development of policies and procedures as needed.
-Assist with performance improvement initiatives within the medical department.
-Work to ensure that the department is operating in a manner consistent with the mission of FCC.
Required Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and regulations.
2. Must be able to document in a neat, legible manner and be able to spell medical terminology correctly.
3. Must exhibit initiative and sound judgment in the absence of specific orders.
4. Must exhibit professional demeanor by being helpful, courteous, and efficient when dealing with other employees or outside agencies.
5. Ability to prioritize tasks to provide appropriate, efficient, and quality patient care.
6. Ability to anticipate and react calmly in emergency situations.
7. Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with unsatisfied patients and coworkers effectively and respectfully.
8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
9. Strong time management, priority setting, work delegation and work organization skills.
10. Ability to follow written policies and procedures.
11. Ability to work independently and use good judgment.
12. Knowledge of standard office machines including copier, fax, multi-line phones, printers, scanners, etc.
13. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft and Office 365 programs.
14. Ability to work as a productive and effective team member, be flexible, and adapt to needs/priorities.
