Roto-Rooter of Hays, KS, is seeking a reliable, highly organized Bookkeeper/Office Manager to coordinate daily office operations, manage bookkeeping, and support our team. This role ensures a smooth, efficient, and professional work environment by overseeing office procedures, invoicing, accounts payable, and general administrative duties. 
 
Responsibilities 
·         Serve as the primary point of contact for office management duties, including billing, mail, supplies, errands, and equipment registration 
·         Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments 
·         Organize, order, and maintain office supplies and equipment 
·         Maintain office correspondence and communication with employees 
·         Update and maintain office policies and procedures 
·         Oversee general office operations and workflow 
·         Complete weekly payroll 
·         Manage AR/AP and ensure all invoices are issued and paid on time 
·         Track jobs and maintain accurate records 
·         Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting 
·         Provide support to visitors, vendors, and staff 
·         Assist with onboarding new employees 
·         Address employee questions regarding office supplies, hardware, or travel arrangements 
Required Skills & Qualifications 
·         Proven experience as a Bookkeeper and/or Administrative Assistant 
·         Strong understanding of office administrator responsibilities, systems, and procedures 
·         Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Outlook) 
·         Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar software 
·         Hands-on experience with office equipment 
·         Familiarity with email scheduling tools 
·         Excellent time management and multitasking abilities 
·         Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills 
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
·         Strong organizational skills 
·         High School diploma required; additional administrative or bookkeeping education is a plus 
Schedule 
 Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm 
 Wednesdays off
