What You’ll Be Doing (aka How You'll Be Awesome):
  • Be a Career Coach – Guide job seekers through personalized job plans and help them get back to work fast.
  • Be a Connector – Link people to life-changing resources like training, food assistance, and more.
  • Be a Data Pro – Keep things running smoothly by entering and updating info in our system.
  • Be a Talent Scout – Help customers highlight their skills with online assessments.
  • Be a Motivator – Lead engaging workshops that help job seekers level up their job search game.
  • Be a Community Rockstar – Represent us at job fairs and share all the ways we can help.
  • Be the First Responder – Tackle employment-related complaints with professionalism and care.

 Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Experience interacting with clients, customers, or the public in a social service or problem resolution setting. 
  • You must submit your complete application and all supporting documents by the closing date of the announcement. (Tax Clearance is not automatically submitted to Commerce.)
  • Valid Driver License and ability to travel to communities throughout the local area or other assigned locales.  

Pay starts at $17.79/hr., then staff enter the Kansas Registered Apprentice Program the beginning of the year after hire where pay increases at the end of the first year, and again at the end of the second year.
