Hays Housing Authority is seeking a qualified candidate to become its next Executive Director. The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising all aspects of the Housing Authority’s operations including management of 30 Public Housing units and 78 Housing Choice Vouchers. This position administers and assures compliance with federal, state and local housing programs and reports to a five-member Board of Commissioners. The selected candidate should have an ability to work independently; be detail oriented; and have knowledge of accounting. Strong computer literacy is needed including word processing, database, spreadsheets, internet, and e-mail use. Should have experience with budgets, payroll, accounts payable, reports, policy development, public relations, personnel management, and maintenance and building operations.
