Office Hours:
8:00 am to 5:00 pm; Potential evening or Saturday Class required.
Occasional availability required to teach a quarterly evening or Saturday daytime Class (equates to 2-3 evening classes every 3 months ending between 8p-10p). Office hours may be flexed to accommodate required evenings/weekends. 

Starting Wage: 16.00 /hour; Increases available contingent on education and experience. Full-time.

Conduct training classes pertaining to CPR, Mandt Systems, and RTAP per curricula in a professional manner. Must have a valid drivers license due to occasional classes at alternate DSNWK locations (Hill City, Norton, Atwood, Russell). A company car is provided for out of town travel and all instructor training is agency paid.

Conduct trainings as required by DCF, KDADS, KDHE, and other licensing, funding or accrediting entities as directed.

Report class attendance to necessary certification providers (American Heart Association, The Mandt System, RTAP) and coordinate distribution of certificates, filing of testing materials, and other class documentation. Knowledge of Google+ Systems, digital drive management, and computer/scanner systems a plus. 

Complete reports regarding Training compliance as assigned. Spreadsheet experience preferred. 

Review staff enrolled for future classes, checking that necessary prerequisites are met and contacting staff and supervisors if a change in enrollment is necessary. Online LMS experience preferred (Relias).

Develop and maintain quality materials, supplies, and techniques to promote learning and retention of subject matter. 

Attend initial and ongoing training and meetings as directed.

Maintain and foster inter and intra-agency relationships benefiting training.

Education -
Post secondary education in related field preferred.

Experience -
Two years of experience in providing staff training and/or in the developmental disability field preferred.

Extent of physical effort required -
Routine job requirements. Must be able to successfully demonstrate physical skills and techniques for RTAP, Mandt, and First Aid/CPR/AED classes. Occasional lifting required up to 40 lb. while preparing class resources.

Strong verbal, interpersonal, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Valid driver's license required.
