Grow Hays is seeking to fill the position of Director of Recruitment and Retainment. This position offers an opportunity for an ideal candidate to join an impactful organization and contribute to the economic growth of our community. 

The Director of Recruitment & Retainment will be responsible for establishing and conducting Grow Hays efforts for recruitment of new organizations to the community including commercial, industrial and retail entities. Included in these activities will be responding to Requests for Proposal, providing information to site selectors as well as attendance at events and trade shows. 
 
Proactively prospect and develop new opportunities, develop relationships with key development organizations and officials who are considering our community for development.
 
Develop and maintain relationships with existing businesses to understand needs, ensure retention and explore opportunities for expansion.
 
Lead development opportunities and provide the expertise needed to all involved parties to properly evaluate opportunities and prepare action plans to capture those opportunities
 
Coordinate all inquiries concerning potential industrial development, expansion of area businesses and/or matters of expansion. 
 
Develop an inventory of, and actively pursue, potential development related funding resources for public, private and not-for-profit community organizations
 
Responsible for keeping a current and accurate industrial site development resource library and files on prospects, projects, available buildings, industrial sites, and associated files. 
 
Research land use areas for industrial development sites
 
Assist Ellis County and cities of Hays, Ellis & Victoria Commissioners with various local industrial development assistance policies, such as tax abatement policy, CID, Industrial Revenue Bonds, and other performance-based incentive policies. 
 
Provide support for other Grow Hays activities and projects as needed.

Education/Experience Requirements
 
●      Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; or equivalent business experience preferred
●      Demonstrated experience in developing prospects and working to a successful conclusion
●      Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
●      Industrial or commercial development experience preferred
●      Exceptional Communication Skills

Other Requirements

●      Ability to work nights and weekends as required
●      Valid Driver's Licenses
●      Some Travel Required
