Position Title: Nutrition Administrative Assistant
Type of Position: Non-exempt, Hourly, Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Immediate Supervisor: Nutrition Director
QUALIFICATIONS
• Accounting or Finance background preferred – minimum of two years college education
• Other degrees may be considered on an individual basis, taking into account the applicant’s experience and skills.
• Strong computer, office, and telephone skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Analytical thinker with precise attention to detail
• Must provide proof of valid driver’s license and be insurable
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Applicant must be able to multi-task
• Ability to maintain accurate databases
• Ability to communicate and interact with staff, volunteers, and older adults and individuals with disabilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage HOMESTEAD Nutrition Project office duties
• Enter information and generate reports from KAMIS
• Accurately maintain nutrition files, inventory of nutrition office supplies and materials
• Maintain client assessment files
• Provide nutrition site and kitchen personnel with necessary forms
• Daily post office mail pickup, including recording of postage due to accounts
• Answer and direct telephone calls
• Complete intakes for agency services
• Assist in the development of programs and materials for kitchen personnel and nutrition site manager training events.
• Produce mail merge contracts and documents as necessary
• Maintain nutrition site statistics and compile reports
• Use the Sage accounting program
• Receive invoices and prepare vouchers for payment
• Prepare checks for signatures and mail
• Prepare cost studies for various components of the nutrition program.
• Assist Nutrition Director in preparation of monthly reports and directories
• Other projects and duties as assigned
ACCOUNTABILITY
• Efficiently and accurately perform data entry into computer systems meeting required deadlines
• Participates as an active member of the Area Agency on Aging staff
• Increase knowledge of agency issues, service coordination, and networking to ensure a quality level of program standards
BENEFITS
