SCALE HOUSE OPERATOR
POSITION PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for overseeing inbound and outbound products and coordinates logistics of raw ingredients coming into the plant. Inspect coming wheat to ensure the quality and food safety of the product.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Scales-In, Inbound & Outbound products, and produces scale tickets.
- Inspects & grades inbound grain to ensure it meets company specifications and can be accepted.
- Records wheat grade results electronically.
- Scales in midds trucks. –proper scaling of all trucks.
- Create BOL’s & COA’s to customers.
- Completes Daily Midds Paperwork.
- Inbound supplies and chemicals
- Outbound gluten shipments and associated paper work
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent certificate required
Required Knowledge & Experience
- Experience in grain grading and CompuWeigh System.
- Grain and facility processing procedures.
- Basic math and communication skills.
- Physical ability to perform functions of the position.
- Basic computer skills.
- General understanding of grain varieties.

- Work and cooperate with all members of PureField Ingredients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to learn and work effectively with the plant’s computer systems.
- Punctual and timely in meeting requirements of performance, including but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines.
- Ability to maintain courteous, professional and effective working relationships with customers and employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to communicate information and state problems or challenges to be resolved in a clear, concise, courteous, nondiscriminatory and professional manner and be able to provide clarification as necessary.
- Capable of adapting, with minimal or no advance notice, to changes in how business is conducted and work is accomplished, with no diminishment in work performance.
- Basic mathematics.
- Controlling operations of equipment systems.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
Significant time will be spent in the plant and rail loadout. Many types of industrial equipment are used in including, but not limited to, rail car movers and heavy rolling stock such as pay loaders. May be exposed to loud noises, wet and humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, extreme hot and cold depending on weather conditions. Must be able to climb ladders and work in high elevations. Must be able to speak and listen clearly. Fine visual acuity to ready for accuracy.
