Lifetime Dental Care is hiring a Registered Dental Hygienist. Our Dental Hygienists are considered the primary patient educators of the practice, helping patients learn how their oral health impacts their overall health and what steps they can take to improve it. You will work in partnership with our Dentists and other teammates to educate patients on problems that you see, the potential consequences if the problems are left untreated, and the solutions that our Doctor’s propose. You will also complete oral wellness appointments for new, recare, emergency, and periodontal patients. Essential Functions

·Update patients’ medical history, record blood pressure, uncover any new conditions, etc.
·Perform a comprehensive periodontal evaluation including probe depths, bleeding points, recessions, mobility, furcation, etc.
·Perform routine treatment procedures such as x-rays, applications of sealants and fluorides, and related procedures.
·Perform oral prophylaxis, polish, and educate patients on home care instructions.
·Perform periodontal treatment on all patients as needed based on “Standards of Care” guidelines.
·Work with the Doctor to enter treatment plan into the practice management software.
·Record complete appointment notes into the practice management software.
Work Environment
This job operates in a medical/clinical environment, which will require HIPAA/OSHA training. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

The employee frequently is required to talk and hear; stand for long periods of time; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to blood and blood-borne pathogens and/or physical risks, which will require OSHA training.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Part-time/Full-time position. Business hours: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Occasionally work is expected outside of these hours, for example continuing education and to meet minimum working days, etc.
Travel
Travel is expected for this position on a limited basis for continuing education.
Required Education, Experience, Qualifications
·Associate degree from accredited dental hygiene program
·Knowledge and understanding of dental procedures, terminology, and techniques
·Valid Kansas RDH License
·Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
·Nitrous Oxide Certification
Preferred Education and Experience
·Bachelor’s degree from accredited dental hygiene program
·Experience with Eaglesoft and Perio Protect a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
$36-$38 per hour
$2000 Sign on Bonus paid out in first three months
