At JTS CDL Training the CDL Instructor is pivotal in mentoring aspiring commercial drivers. This dynamic role encompasses classroom theory, practical hands-on training, and a commitment to fostering the highest standards of safety and compliance in the commercial driving industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training & Evaluation:
  • Conduct comprehensive training programs for student drivers to master the skills necessary for obtaining a CDL.
  • Provide instruction on the safe operation of commercial vehicles, including trucks, and trailers, across diverse public roadways.
  • Assess students’ driving competencies, ensuring readiness for state-issued CDL examinations.
  • Classroom Instruction:
  • Facilitate engaging sessions on driving techniques, adapting to varying road conditions, traffic dynamics, and advanced driving maneuvers.
  • Teach critical safety regulations, including adherence to federal and state laws governing commercial transport.
  • Instruct on vehicle maintenance essentials, covering routine inspections, preventive care, and diagnostic troubleshooting.
  • Practical Training:
  • Guide students in behind-the-wheel training, instilling safe and defensive driving practices.
  • Lead yard maneuvers training, focusing on precision skills such as reversing, docking, and navigating tight spaces.
  • Train students to perform meticulous safety inspections, identifying and addressing potential vehicular issues.
  • Career Advancement:
  • Empower students with the knowledge and confidence to secure employment in the commercial driving field upon course completion.
  • Advocate for students’ long-term success, equipping them with the tools to tackle real-world transportation challenges.
Candidate Profile:
