The Government Affairs Manager will play a critical role in shaping the company’s public policy strategy, fostering relationships with government officials, and ensuring alignment with legislative and regulatory frameworks. This position will advocate for Nex-Tech Wireless’ interests to government, industry, and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or regulatory affairs.
- Position Location: Hays, Kansas or remote

Additional Requirements: Willingness to travel as needed for meetings, hearings, and industry events; existing relationships with government officials or regulatory bodies are a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Policy Advocacy and Representation: Represent company in interactions with federal, state, and local government officials, regulatory agencies (e.g., FCC, KCC,), and industry associations to advocate for policies that support the company’s business objectives.
- Legislative Monitoring and Analysis: Track, analyze, and report on legislative and regulatory developments impacting relevant industries, providing actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with policymakers, government agencies, and key stakeholders to enhance the company’s influence and reputation in the public policy arena.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with company Executive Team to ensure regulatory and legislative considerations are integrated into business operations and planning.
- Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and deliver presentations, policy briefs, and testimony for hearings, meetings, and industry events to effectively communicate company’s positions on key issues.
- Compliance Support: Assist in ensuring the company’s operations comply with all relevant regulations, advising on potential risks and opportunities arising from policy changes. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely compliance reporting.
