PART-TIME MAINTENANCE WORKER
The City of Hays’ Department of Water Resources is looking for a dependable year-round Part-Time Maintenance Worker to assist in providing reliable water and wastewater services to the citizens of Hays. Duties include general maintenance duties, grounds maintenance, minor construction projects and assisting with reading meters. This position may also help with water and wastewater leaks.
Position has flexible hours within general operation time which is Monday-Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm and Fridays 8:00 am – Noon. Average 19 hours per week.
Requirements
Valid driver’s license required. The ideal candidate would have the working knowledge of general construction techniques. Exposure to hazardous chemicals, machinery, excessive noise and all types of weather conditions is expected. Strong communications & mechanical skills required. This position has a residency requirement of Ellis County within 6 months of employment.
Compensation
Pay Range: $13.71-16.38/hour. Pay based on experience.
