We are seeking an innovative professional Instructional Designer/E-Learning Developer who can work in a fast paced and collaborative environment. The position provides high-level support to faculty and professional development programs as part of the Teaching Innovation and Learning Technologies team and will create, refine, and maintain high-quality e-learning experiences for the National De-Escalation Training Center online professional development project and related projects as needed. The NDTC training developed by Fort Hays State University will teach law enforcement officers techniques that can help resolve potentially dangerous confrontations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: · Demonstrated knowledge of learning theory, student learning styles and adult learning models;
· Experience utilizing inclusive teaching approaches to support and encourage engagement from diverse learners;
· Experience developing in accordance with ADA and Web accessibility guidelines;
· Experience utilizing Blackboard LMS, Stream LXP, Zoom, Adobe Creative Suite, Adapt Builder, DomiKnow, audio/video editing and production, and/or mobile learning technologies;
· Comprehensive knowledge of HTML and xAPI.

Responsibilities:
· Designing and facilitating e-learning experiences and resources (workshops, online modules, guides, etc.), to educate law enforcement about best practices in de-escalation including, but not limited to:
o Helping to inform the overall design of the online and hybrid learning experiences including but not limited to graphics, instructional multimedia, accessibility, the user interface and the finished product
o Applying tested instructional design theories, practices and methods
o Designing and producing learning materials in a variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video, animation and multimedia to support teaching, learning, and college information needs.
· Develop and produce reports utilizing data and analysis related to learning experience objectives and outcomes. Work with other TILT members to ensure we have coordinated efforts related to instructional/educational technology adoption and support.
· Stay abreast of the online design field through professional development and research.
