The Forklift/ Yard Dog Operator is responsible for loading/unloading/ moving steel and a variety of equipment between the docks and the yard, in a safe, appropriate, and effective manner.
Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Operation of all forklift (indoor/outdoor) and pulls 53' trailers with yard dog.
2. Maintains metal rack organization, loads and unloads steel bar stock, steel pip, and steel plates per safe instructions.
3. Shuttle trailers around the yard. Keeps yard clean of wood, debris, etc.
4. Moves empty trailers to appropriate docks, back truck and trailers to appropriate docks to be offloaded.
