Thomas More Prep-Marian Jr/Sr High School (2A co-ed Catholic school, enrollment 280) is seeking a vocal music teacher to inspire students to become proficient in their musical endeavors.
A successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education or related field and be certified (or able to obtain certification) in Kansas. A Master’s degree is preferred and will command a higher salary, as will teaching experience.
Successful candidates will have a strong ability to teach skills and motivate students. Teachers at TMP-Marian are expected to develop caring relationships with students that allow them to demand greatness. A supplemental stipend is available if interested in competition choir. This position includes one section of high school choir, one section of 7th-8th grade choir, and two sections of 6th grade choir. There is also the possibility to add the paid supplemental duty of a competitive high school choral group (known as Pop Singers).
The school will work with the candidate to be flexible in scheduling.
