 Exciting Opportunity: Crisis Recovery Specialist (Case Manager) at High Plains Mental Health Center

Location: Hays, Kansas
Salary: $27.01 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time

As a Crisis Recovery Specialist, you will work on the frontlines, directly impacting individuals in crisis by providing mobile intervention services and fostering recovery. In this position, you will play a crucial role in preventing unnecessary hospitalizations, reducing emergency room visits, and providing the immediate care that individuals need in their most vulnerable moments. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Mobile Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and crisis intervention services in the community or a person’s home.
  • Treatment Collaboration: Work closely with treatment teams to offer feedback and adjust care strategies to meet patient needs.
  • After-Hours Support: Respond to telehealth or mobile service needs as part of an on-call schedule, including after-hours shifts.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation and complete training in a timely manner to ensure industry compliance.
  • Transportation: Provide transportation for patients to and from necessary services.

Qualifications: 
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in a human services-related field, or equivalent experience in human services with at least one year of related experience.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals in emotional distress. Must be able to respond effectively in high-stress situations.
  • Licensing/Requirements: Must pass all required background checks (KBI, DCF Child Abuse Check, Adult Abuse Registry, motor vehicle screens) and possess a valid driver’s license.
