Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital's Administration is looking for a full-time Chief Executive Officer.

Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital is a 17-bed critical access health care facility providing inpatient, emergency and outpatient services. WaKeeney and Ellis Family Care Centers offer clinic services aimed to fulfill all of your family’s needs.   An attached 37-bed Long Term Care unit, 10-bed Assisted Living complex, and Home Delivered Meals complete the package by providing all aspects of care under one roof.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides overall leadership and strategic direction for the critical access hospital, ensuring the organization fulfills its mission, vision, and long-term objectives. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO establishes and executes strategic plans, policies, and operational priorities; ensures financial stability and organizational effectiveness; and leads a culture of quality, accountability, and innovation. The CEO represents the hospital to the Board, medical staff, employees, community partners, regulators, and the public, positioning the organization for sustainable growth and excellence in patient care.

RESPONSIBILITIES
·         Responsible for all aspects of the operation of the hospital, clinic(s) and long-term care facilities.
·         Act as a liaison between the hospital and the medical staff and represents the hospital at external functions.
·         Attends all Board Meetings and develops/submits to the Board for approval a plan of organization for the conduct of the hospital and recommended changes when necessary.
·         Assists Board in preparing a plan for the achievement of the hospital’s specific objectives and mutually established goals and periodically reviews and evaluates such plan.  Said plan shall always reflect the hospital’s mission statement and be in accordance with the ethics and goals of the hospital.
·         Ensures maintenance of physical properties is in good and safe state of repair and operation.
·         Supervises the business affairs of the hospital, clinic(s) and long-term care facility to ensure that funds are collected and expended to the best possible advantage.
·         Presents to the Board, and/or its committees, periodic reports reflecting the services and financial activities of the hospital and such special reports as may be required by the Board.
·         Act as a liaison between the hospital and the medical staff and represents the hospital at external functions.
·         Ensures that the hospital maintains licensing and quality patient care through the establishment of performance improvement monitoring programs and standards.
·         Works with CFO to create an annual budget to be prepared showing the expected revenue and expenditure as required by the Board.
·         Works with HR to select, employ, and discharge personnel and develop and maintain personnel policies and practices for the hospital.

·         Proven expertise in business management with a track record of leading organizations through periods of growth and change.
·         Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans that deliver measurable results.
·         Demonstrated senior leadership experience with supervising diverse teams and managing complex projects effectively.
·         Exceptional management skills with a focus on operational efficiency, resource allocation, and process improvement.
·         Experience in business development to identify opportunities for expansion.
·         Financial management includes budgeting, financial analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS
·         Recent experience as an Administrator of a Critical Access hospital.
·         Bachelor’s Degree or 4-5 years of experience in a hospital setting. 
·         Financial expertise in hospital and fiscal management.
·         Ability to work cooperatively with and manage Physicians and mid-level Providers.
