Purpose

Minimum Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, sociology or closely related field and two (2) years of progressively responsible work in student services, student affairs, or related student success program
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to plan and organize work for self and others
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively
- Ability to organize, set priorities, and exercise sound judgement within areas of responsibility
- Demonstrate a commitment to help students succeed
- Experienced in Microsoft Office products
- Experience in providing effective guidance, assistance, advisement and services to students
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills with a student-first attitude
- Employment is dependent upon a pre-employment background screening
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
- Periodic day travel required
- Indoors, environmentally controlled
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal
- Occasional stress due to deadlines
Job Duties
Essential Functions
- Regular attendance and timeliness
- Serve as the site Coordinator for the Office of Student Success
- Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of tutoring and learning services
- Assist with College-wide recruitment and orientation events on campus
- Coordinate testing and tutoring program(s)
- Coordinate services available through the Gateway program at FHSU
- Manage the NCK Tech Student Observation System & Advising System
- Identify and support at-risk students and connect them with appropriate resources
- Lead and coordinate Student Success initiatives
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate records
- Maintain regular communication with Dean of Student Success regarding retention efforts
- Demonstrate a daily commitment to NCK Tech’s Mission, Vision, and Values
- Other duties as assigned by the President or his designee

- 12 Month Position
