High Plains Mental Health Center currently has a full time position opening in our Hays Main Building as the Jail Court Criminal Justice Liaison.


New employees will receive a $325 sign-on bonus following successful completion of their 90 day orientation period.

The role of a Jail Liaison is to ease service entry and provide a single point of contact for all new and existing clients, currently incarcerated, into HPMHC services. The Jail Liaison will meet with each new and/or existing client to assess, triage, complete registration, financial enrollment and refer appropriately for services. This position will collaborate with community partners to coordinate care, monitor status, and collect data on Assisted Outpatient Treatment [AOT] participants.


Qualifications:
  Qualifications: (1) Have at least a BA/BS degree or be equivalently qualified by work experience or a combination of work experience in the human services field and education with one year of experience substituting for one year of education; (2) possess demonstrated interpersonal skills, ability to work with persons with severe and persistent mental illness and/or severe emotional disturbance, and the ability to react effectively in a wide variety of human service situations; (3) meet the specifications outlined in the CMHC licensing standards in regard to any ongoing requirements. 


Must possess a valid Kansas driver’s license and a good driving record with no alcohol related incidents within the last five years. Must also be able to successfully pass an intensive background check.
