Job Purpose: This position is responsible for processing sales orders, ensuring safe operation of lifting and moving equipment and delivery equipment, loading operations and the efficient scheduling and routing of delivery vehicles. Accountable for full cycle of the process from sales order reception to product delivery.  
 
Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.   
  1. Maintains a thorough knowledge of the organization to adhere to all organizational standards. 
  2. Plans, coordinates and supervises the process of receiving sales orders and the conversion into delivery including working with customers.  
  3. Plans delivery by organizing truck loads and routine schedules with the most accurate, cost effective arrangements as possible. Oversees the loading process onto trailers or trucks and assists when necessary.  
  4. Prepares delivery documents and supplies for drivers (e.g. permits, credit card, cell phone).  
  5. Organizes, leads, moves and cares for all personnel involved in the delivery process. Directs team activities, establishing task priorities, scheduling work assignments, providing guidance and ensuring availability of necessary resources.  
  6. Ensures all driver log books are correct and sheets are turned in weekly/daily. 
  7. Looks over log sheets to ensure all information is present and correct for data entry into payroll/billing system. 
  8. Keeps up on all DOT regulations that apply to the industry. Works with and assists Human Resources to ensure compliance in hiring process and DOT file maintenance. Maintains Kansas Annual Permits, ensures registration in all trucks, ensures insurance cards in all truck, ensures IFTA stickers get put on all trucks, completes 3 Tribes DOT Application renews and places stickers on trucks, and completes 3 Tribes TERRA cards applications and renewals.  
  9. Oversees safety in all operations of the trucking department/drivers and oversees vehicle and gantry crane maintenance. Maintains and develops positive business relationships with the customer’s key personnel involved in or directly relevant to a logistics activity.  
  10. Completes a truck expense and delivery total report weekly and obtains oversize permits for all drivers in Nebraska, South Dakota and North Dakota.  
  11. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Secures tools, materials and equipment at end of day. 
  12. Performs additional duties as needed.

  1. High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of experience in related field.   
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  3. Ability to read and interpret documents such as charts, procedure manuals and job instructions with basic problem solving skills.  
  4. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  5. Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced work environment. 
  6. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  
  7. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. 
  8. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  9. Ability to use hand tools, such as wrenches and screw-drivers 
  10. Ability to operate computer and computer software, to include Microsoft Office products. 
  11. Ability to use department equipment. 
  12. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
