MAJOR/KEY JOB FUNCTIONS (includes but is not limited to):
· Oversee the housekeeping cart, maintaining supplies.
· Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering.
· Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms.
· Replace dirty linens and terry with clean items. Make beds with fresh linen.
· Clean the bathrooms and ensure new articles (including soap and towels) are placed.
· Remove trash and dirty linen.
· Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order.
· Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances.
· Dust polish and remove marks from walls and furnishings.
· Vacuum carpets in guest rooms and hallway.
· Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
· Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
· Properly store chemicals including flammable materials.
· Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
· Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
· Pick up room reports and keys to assigned areas daily. All keys must be signed in the key sign-out log.
· Checked out rooms will be done first; the only exception to this is a special request.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
· Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stopping as well as stand, sit and/or walk for any extended period.
· The hotel operates 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and any time it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift as business demands.
