Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital - Assisted Living is looking for a Full-time CMA.
Position Overview
Assesses, plans and implements the nursing care of residents within the skilled nursing setting and reports to the Assisted Living RN or LPN.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assess residents on admission and on a weekly basis if needed.
· Assess and reassess pain and report to the Assisted Living RN or LPN.
· Documents changes in residents condition and nursing care on progress notes and report to Assisted Living RN or LPN.
· Performs all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimizes resident safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
· Treats residents and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of residents and their families.
· Functions as a resident advocate by protecting the resident’s rights.
· Administers medications and follows the five medication rights and reduces the potential for medication errors.
Follows proper infection control procedures.
· Consistently follows the policies and procedures of the Facility.
· Is a motivated, independent individual who can organize workload so that all functions are completed appropriately.
· Follows cleaning schedules as set forth from the Assisted Living RN or LPN.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Current Certified Medication Aide in the State of Kansas.
· Current BLS certification
· Intermediate computer knowledge and ability to learn the system used.
