High Plains Mental Health Center currently has a full-time position opening at our Hays Woodhaven Location for a CBS/CSS Recovery Specialist (Case Manager).

New employees will receive a $325 sign-on bonus following successful completion of their 90 day orientation period.

Salary: $20.98 per hour

Summary Description:
  • The Recovery Specialist's work focuses primarily on providing patients and their families with services.
  • Serve patients with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, Severely Emotionally Disturbed youth, and other assigned patients.
  • Help reduce patient symptoms.
  • Improve patient's coping and functioning at home, school, and community.
  • Center issued vehicle is provided for shift travel and patient transportation.
  • Provide a positive impact in patients’ lives.
  • Assist patients and their families to attain/ maintain the greatest level of normally interdependent adjustment in the community

Qualifications:
  • Must have a BA/BS Degree OR be equivalently qualified by a combination of education and work experience in a human service field.
  • Must possess demonstrated interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with persons with severe and persistent mental illness and/or severe emotional disturbance,
  • Valid Kansas Driver's License with good driving record.
  • Must be able to successfully pass and intensive background check.
