Job Summary:
Supervise the Custom Creations shop. Ensure adequate staffing coverage based on the budgeted hours, ensure that the store room is stocked with merchandise and displayed nicely within the shop. Educate the public on the background of Custom Creations and DSNWK as a whole. The treatment of individuals served with dignity and respect is a prime responsibility.

Essential Functions:
Responsible for overseeing the Custom Creations store. 

Keep the environment clean, stocked with merchandise and displayed in an    attractive manner within the shop.

Track inventory and schedule deliveries.

Ensure products in Custom Creations have SKU numbers and information is      correctly documented in the Square sales system. Ensure items are tagged   correctly.

Hire, supervise and evaluate staff and ensure they are properly trained according   to the immediate and ongoing needs of their job.

Ensure staffing remains within budget limits.

Attend initial and ongoing training and meetings as required by DSNWK.

Coordinate and implement events that are part of ?The Bricks? activities.

Promote department and agency in the community to reduce attitudinal and   architectural barriers.

Become familiar with the rights of individuals served and ensure these rights are   maintained at all times through appropriate verbal and physical interactions.

Represent DSNWK with professionalism and individuals served in an advocacy role   in all activities.

Report health, safety, licensing and ANE issues to appropriate personnel per   agency policy.

Ensure equipment runs smoothly and report issues.

Order supplies (sacks, tags, etc.).

Responsible for balancing cash drawer and bank deposits.

Other Responsibilities:
Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Programs and Services or   Manager of Employment.

This position will have access to PHI and EPHI for individuals required for projects   and trainings specific to the needs of an individual(s) served. 

This position is not subject to the two year training period as defined by KPERS.

Job Specifications:
Education - High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience - One year experience preferred in a human services field preferred, retail, interior design, arts background preferred.

Extent of physical effort required - Routine job requirements. Little if any behavior or other physical intervention. Must be physically able to evacuate individuals served in the event of an emergency and be able to move furniture pieces throughout the store, display pieces, extended periods of standing, climb stairs, etc.

Other Requirements:
-Valid driver's license.
-Desire to work with individuals with developmental disabilities.
-Able to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
-Work well with community members and represent the organization.
