First Care Clinic is seeking applicants for a Part-Time Maintenance Technician!
The Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance and repairs for equipment including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.
First Care Clinic is a very busy clinic offering medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmaceutical services. Therefore, applicants must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Prior maintenance or custodial experience is preferred.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan/coordinate repair work with approved vendors.
- Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician (i.e. repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures).
- Perform routine maintenance on building systems.
- Maintain exterior appearance of the buildings including landscaping, spraying weeds, sidewalk snow removal, and general parking lot upkeep.
- Assist with cleaning and upkeep of the facilities as needed.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients, and the public.
- Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and regulations.
- Must exhibit initiative and sound judgment in the absence of specific orders.
- Must exhibit professional demeanor by being helpful, courteous, and efficient when dealing with other employees or outside agencies.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to provide appropriate, efficient, and quality patient care.
- Ability to anticipate and react calmly in emergency situations.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with unsatisfied patients and coworkers effectively and respectfully.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Strong time management, priority setting, work delegation and work organization skills.
- Ability to follow written policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and use good judgment.
- Knowledge of standard office machines including copier, fax, multi-line phones, printers, scanners, etc.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft and Office 365 programs.
- Ability to work as a productive and effective team member, be flexible, and adapt to needs/priorities.
