Barton Community College is seeking applications for the replacement position of Campus Safety Officer. This position provides security services, including maintaining the security of all buildings and property of the College. Required qualifications: high school education or equivalent; good physical condition; ability to use independent judgment; work shift work, including nights and weekends; and possess a valid Kansas driver’s license, good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to fill out and complete investigative reports/daily logs. The position is an armed position, so the applicant must be legally able to carry a firearm and will be required to pass a background check and a psychological evaluation. Applicant must be able to pass pre-employment Physical Capacity Profile Testing. Preferred qualifications: associate’s degree; knowledge of state and federal statutes, along with criminal justice procedures and policies.
