We are a small, creative interior design firm seeking a self-motivated, organized, and discreet individual to join our team as a Part-Time Office Manager. This is a key administrative role supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy design studio. Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online & Payroll
- Remit monthly sales tax to the state of Kansas
- Create invoices, track expenses, manage accounts payable/receivable
- Handle payroll and ensure all payments and bills are processed on time
- Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and service providers by phone and email
- Maintain digital and physical filing systems
- Draft and edit basic business documents and internal communications
- Ensure the office runs efficiently without requiring supervision
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Payroll
- Familiarity with monthly sales tax filings
- Working knowledge of Google Drive, Excel, and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills and excellent judgment
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
- Initiative and problem-solving ability—this is a “run the office” role
Nice to Have:
- Basic social media or marketing skills
- Confidence creating polished documents or client-facing materials
