As a hotel breakfast attendant you will be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and cleaning the morning dining area and kitchen, while providing excellent customer service to hotel guests. This entry-level role is highly accessible, requires minimal prior experience, and serves as an excellent starting point for a career in hospitality.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Cooking simple hot items like eggs, bacon, or sausage and oatmeal.
- Station Setup: Arranging cereal dispensers, bakeries, juices, and condiments neatly before guests arrive.
- Buffet Maintenance: Monitoring food levels, tracking food temperatures, and restocking items frequently.
- Guest Interaction: Welcoming guests warmly, answering menu questions, and fulfilling special requests.
- Cleaning & Breakdown: Clearing tables, washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and mopping the floor after service concludes. Taking out trash is also required.
Typical Working Hours - Early Mornings: Shift start times are 5:00 so breakfast is ready on time.
- Shift Duration: Most shifts lastuntil 10:30 am.
- Calendar Requirements: Attendants are frequently required to work weekends and major holidays.
