Job Summary:
As a Custom Applicator, you will play a crucial role in helping our customers achieve optimal crop yields. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient application of fertilizers and other agricultural products. This position requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain spray rigs and other application equipment.
- Accurately apply liquid and dry fertilizers according to prescribed rates and procedures.
- Collaborate with our agronomy sales team to ensure customers receive the best possible solutions and support.
- Maintain detailed application records and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform light maintenance as needed.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, providing excellent service and addressing their concerns.
- Stay up to date on the latest agricultural technologies and application techniques.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Class A CDL and 1A Pesticide License.
- A strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform light equipment maintenance.
- Physical ability to lift to 60 pounds, climb ladders, and wear personal protective equipment.
- Background in agriculture or agronomy is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate!
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package to attract and retain the best talent.
- Competitive Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year (includes hourly wage, overtime, and a per-acre bonus).
