The Degree Analyst position provides academic records and graduation support within the Registrar’s Office for students across all undergraduate academic programs. Responsibilities include reviewing transfer coursework, monitoring student progress toward graduation, applying university policies related to academic and graduation requirements, and assisting with the degree conferral and diploma process. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong critical-thinking abilities, and the capacity to communicate effectively while providing outstanding service to students, faculty, staff, and campus partners. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and other electronic systems, strong organizational and customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree, technical degree, or equivalent college coursework (minimum of 60 credit hours) in a related field or two years of professional experience in lieu of degree.
- At least one year of experience working with audits, databases, student information systems, academic records, or other detail-oriented processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or four years of professional experience in lieu of degree.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the transferability of coursework and credits from other colleges and universities, and alternative or accelerated credit methods
- Conduct degree audits for undergraduate students, including review of general education, major, minor, certificates, and program requirements
- Review and confirm completion of degree requirements during the Application for Program Completion process
- Provide timely support and communication for walk-in, phone, and email inquiries related to student records and degree completion
- Participate in planning and supporting university commencement activities and events
- Communicate effectively and professionally with students, advisors, faculty, department chairs, and other campus constituents
- Maintain accurate student records, documentation, and filing systems related to degree progress and academic data
- Perform other duties as assigned
Appointment Date: Start date will be determined upon acceptance of an offer and successful completion of a criminal background check.
