The Saw Operator is responsible for cutting pipes and other types of metals on various types of sawing machines.
Essential Functions include the following – other duties as assigned.
1.Measures and cuts accurately pipe production pieces, some with angles. (Must have ability to measure material accurately to a 16th of an inch.)
2. Reads and follows drawings on blueprints accurately.
3. Use the GEKA iron worker safely to shear and/or punch flat iron and angle iron for production pieces.
4. Operates forklifts and overhead cranes to transport and move cut parts/pieces
6. Identifies the correct material before cutting and cuts, cleans, labels and distributes parts as needed.
7. Records job process numbers and numbers on check sheets.
8. Maintains a clean and safe work area
