Job Purpose: The Parts Representative is responsible for ordering, warehousing, and keeping inventory control over parts.
Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Pulls parts, picks up parts, stocks shelves, assists customers, ships parts, and reads parts manuals to find correct part numbers.
- Counts parts to keep inventory accurate, makes calls to order and locate parts, bills out parts and materials, marks up parts, and searches on the internet for parts manuals and places to buy parts.
- Organizes shelves to make room for new parts and cleans counters.
- Coordinates with other departments to ensure they have all of the parts they need.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Secures tools, materials and equipment at end of day.
- Performs additional duties as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Shovels snow and ice.
- Operates forklifts to unload delivery trucks and put away parts.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate detailed information to customers, coworkers and management.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, procedure manuals and job instructions and basic problem solving skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and multi-task effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate computer and computer software, to include Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to use department equipment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
