Hays Middle School is seeking a caring, dependable In-School Suspension (ISS) Supervisor to support students in a structured, positive learning environment. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior work experience demonstrates reliability and professionalism
- Maturity, strong interpersonal skills, and sound judgment
- Basic computer skills
Compensation: $17.89
Position Overview:
The ISS Supervisor provides daily supervision and academic support for students assigned to In-School Suspension. The program emphasizes student growth by maintaining academic engagement while reinforcing positive behavior and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the ISS classroom in a calm, structured manner
- Support students as they complete classroom assignments
- Communicate with teachers to obtain, monitor, and return student work
- Enforce ISS expectations consistently and fairly
- Report concerns, infractions, or facility issues to administration
- Before-school gym supervision as assigned
- Help with after school dismissal
- Assist office staff when available
- Adapt to daily needs and perform other duties as assigned
Work Environment:
School-based setting with occasional exposure to noisy or busy environments.
