High Plains Mental Health Center in Hays, KS currently has an open Recovery Worker (as needed) position for Westside School.


The Recovery Worker would provide Psychosocial Rehabilitation services individually or in a group setting and/or Attendant Care services. The applicant must meet the following: (1) Be 18 years of age or older and if providing services to a consumer who is under the age of 18, must be at least three years older than the consumer; (2) Possess demonstrated interpersonal skills, ability to work with persons with severe and persistent mental illness and/or severe emotional disturbance, and the ability to react effectively in a wide variety of human service situations.


New employees will receive a $325 sign-on bonus following successful completion of their 90 day orientation period.


Recovery Workers must be at least 18 years of age and should demonstrate the interpersonal skills and experience to be able work with persons with severe and persistent mental illness. Applicants should possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record with no alcohol related incidents within the last five years. Must be able to pass an intensive background check before beginning work.
